This book is mediocre. Not terrible, but certainly not great.

There are typos *everywhere*. I draw your attention to the answer for Question #54, which starts right in the middle of the explanation of the answer. You have to use process of elimination to figure out that the answer is B because apparently, the first few sentences are missing.

A second example of a really odd typo is found in Question # 112, answer C: "Yes, because both the mortgagor not the mortgagee provided informed consent to the attorney’s representation." It’s supposed to say "yes, because both the mortgagor AND the mortgagee." The difference between an "and" and a "not" on an MPRE can make the difference between correct and incorrect.

(Also Answer to Question # 53 isn’t in bold and 54 is randomly missing the pound sign? These aren’t substantive typos but they make me seriously question the quality of work that went into this book. Not to mention the apparently random differences in the amount of return spaces between the answers to the questions.)

I also staunchly disagree with the answer to question #104. This is a classic example where the lawyer effectively wins the subject of the action as his fee, which gives him a proprietary interest in the action as explicitly prohibited by MR 1.8. The answer should be C.

In short, this book will get you there, maybe. I hope. I take the MPRE tomorrow, and wonder whether this book has screwed me over. I want my money back for poor quality of editing.

My biggest problem with this book is that it contains several spelling/grammatical mistakes. The questions and explanations are worthwhile; it is really just a problem with a few questions that prevent me from giving this work a better review.

Not as hard of questions as are actually on the MPRE but still good practice so worth it in my opinion
