I am a special education teacher of eighth grade students who have learning disabilities and other health impairments, such as ADHD. I too have ADHD as well as two of my children. This book brought a great sense of relief, as well as identity for my students. They, like myself, felt that the book describes ADHD in a way that is unlike others we have seen before. It is not written in a negative fashion. It is an encouragement to anyone who has ADHD. Instead of focusing on all of the negatives of ADHD the book finishes with saying that an individual who has ADHD has unlimited potential…which is what a lot of ADHDer’s need to hear rather than how "annoying" we are. We were all placed on this Earth for a reason, maybe it is to teach each other patience, love, and compassion for ALL.

Honestly, I would have bought this book for the coffee-out-the-nose funny title and cover. However my cousin’s son, David, has ADHD, and it proved to be a perfect Christmas gift. Yes, he opened it already. He has ADHD. Nonetheless I was fortunate enough to be there to see David and his Mom as they turned thought the pages for the very first time. I made a wise choice. While I will always approve of almost any book that exposes children to dogs, this is a book of hope and understanding. I’d recommend `All Dogs Have ADHD’ not only for families living with ADHD or other learning disorders, but as a gift for teachers and as a donation for libraries. The cuteness is just a bonus!

I usually hate this kind of cutesy anthropomorphizing animal photograph books, but I couldn’t help buying it when I realized how clever and thoughtful it was. I sent this book to my grandson. He is a Russian adoptee who has been at a residential treatment center. He has been diagnosed with multiple problems and has been on all sorts of heavy medications since he was five.
Despite much of his treatment (some of it quite harsh and misguided) he has remained a delightful, loving, spiritual child– a true puppy dog of loyalty, passion and occasional guilt! This book is so so so appropriate for him! He LOVES it and showed it to all of the staff and teachers at the center. They loved it too. I think it is the best gift I ever gave him. The hope and affection that is the grounding of the book is the very best therapy he can have. Thanks for the insight and sensitivity of the author in putting this book together.

PassKey EA Review Part 1:: Individuals, IRS Enrolled Agent Exam Study Guide: 2015-2016 Edition

Review

It worked!
-Christopher R. Bennett, Sr. (Sebastian, FL)
I passed my first test on my first try!

I passed all my tests the first time
-William Highfield (Lafayette, Colorado)
I used the Complete book as a study guide and passed all my tests the first time. Don’t get the idea the tests were easy, but the book was so well organized and inclusive that the memorization and familiarization processes went very well.

I passed the EA exams on the first try
-Ton Tran (California)
The PassKey EA Review was the reason I was able to pass the EA exams on the first try.

Paperback: 456 pagesPublisher: PassKey Publications (March 1, 2015)Language: EnglishISBN-10: 1935664352ISBN-13: 978-1935664352 Product Dimensions: 7.4 x 1 x 9.7 inches Shipping Weight: 2.2 pounds (View shipping rates and policies) Best Sellers Rank: #4,637 in Books (See Top 100 in Books) #1 in Books > Textbooks > Law > Tax Law #4 in Books > Law > Tax Law #5 in Books > Law > Business

Just passed Part 1 using this book. The information is organized well and the price is decent compared to online programs.

From an instructional stand point, these books are slightly below average. I give 3 stars because I did indeed pass the exams on first try using nothing but these books. But I walked in to them expecting not to. I wonder if these authors have ever taught before, because the format is not conducive to learning the material well. They are very vague at times on some of the subject matter, but my largest issue is the way they word things. It is similar to the tax code itself, which if you have ever tried reading, is a challenge in reading comprehension similar to deciphering mandarin. I had to make cliff notes for myself and describe in a simple sentence or two what they spent an entire page talking about. In the end, I went out and supplemented my studies with some other books to gain enough confidence to walk into the tests. I would either suggest the same or get another book. I will say the one good thing are the questions. They were fairly reflective of the tests themselves and they have a ton of them in there. (Approx. 350 questions – and since the test is 100 questions long, you can get about 3 accurate practice tests out of this book)

I just passed the Part 1 EA exam on the first attempt after using this book and the matching PASSKEY Review Workbook. These are great study resources.

Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy DVD – October 14, 2011 Pdf Download

Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy DVD – October 14, 2011
Author: Visit ‘s Gerald Corey Page ID: 1133309135

DVD: The Case of Stan and Lecturettes for Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy, 9th (ISBN-10: 1133309135 | ISBN-13: 9781133309130) This exciting program features 13 counseling sessions in which Dr. Corey works with client Stan, using each of the theoretical concepts covered in this book. In each of the sessions, Corey applies a few selected techniques that effectively showcase how each theory works in a real-life counseling session. This program already is getting rave reviews from instructors. They often find that assigning portions of the video as homework allows them to use class time productively to discuss video concepts and insights that students have gleaned from the video.

DVD: 534 pagesPublisher: Wadsworth Publishing Co Inc; 9th edition (October 14, 2011)Language: EnglishISBN-10: 1133309135ISBN-13: 978-1133309130 Product Dimensions: 4.8 x 0.2 x 5.9 inches Shipping Weight: 1.6 ounces Best Sellers Rank: #87,906 in Books (See Top 100 in Books) #198 in Books > Education & Teaching > Schools & Teaching > Counseling #209 in Books > Medical Books > Psychology > Counseling #273 in Books > Health, Fitness & Dieting > Psychology & Counseling > Counseling

I do wish the DVD were bundled with the textbook but since it isn’t, I am thrilled that I went ahead and purchased the DVD separately because it truly is a great supplement and makes understanding the text (as well as obtaining a quick review in a relaxed fashion) much simpler! I only wish something like this was available for all textbooks 😉

This DVD was required for a grad school (psychology) class. The content is so old it is hilarious. Feels like the original footage might have been shot with a cheap, consumer-grade video camera sometime in the late 1980s. I mean, for $56, the publisher can–and should deliver a much higher-quality product. The text this goes with is very concise (if cheaply made–newsprint), and the content here is pretty good (not great), but wow, was it ever funny to watch. It is long past time to make a new edition–and drop the price by 40%.

The seller I bought it from was excellent in shipping and quality, and the DVD itself helps when you are first learning the counseling theories. It is worth the money, I would recommend buying it along with the book.

Author: Ian Ayres ID: 160930117X

Series: University Casebook SeriesHardcover: 1168 pagesPublisher: Foundation Press; 8 edition (June 24, 2012)Language: EnglishISBN-10: 160930117XISBN-13: 978-1609301170 Product Dimensions: 10.1 x 7.6 x 2 inches Shipping Weight: 4.6 pounds (View shipping rates and policies) Best Sellers Rank: #328,565 in Books (See Top 100 in Books) #141 in Books > Law > Business > Contracts #2333 in Books > Textbooks > Law #77017 in Books > Reference

Not my favorite law school book but not the worst. It is about contracts anyways. Sometimes does not have as many facts about the background of the case which can be annoying. Book was in great condition and almost looked brand new.

It’s a casebook. I liked it better than average for a casebook, but it is full of a lot of dry contract cases. I particularly liked how it is organized. Sections start with old classic cases showing the old rules and then proceed to modern cases showing how the rules have changed over time. Also, most of the cases are a good length, short enough but not edited so heavily that you miss important points.

If you do not want it and want to return it ,they will charge you at high rate!

Terribly written, as though badly translated from another language. Some of the concepts were novel and important but actual technique not detailed enough for use clinically. Perhaps editing by a better writer would make this book readable

What a shame to read the negative reviews since his Retraining the Brain for me was transformative even though there were times where even as a psych nurse it got a little sloggy. Agree that a better editor might help Dr. Lawlis get his point across to "civilians".

Arrived on time. Will really come in handy.
